That being said, today we're going to talk about Executive Actions...
The President had a busy day on January 20th. There were so many Executive Actions that it’s a little hard to wrap your head around. Below I will try to summarize the ones that I think are most important.
This will not be short, but I’ve tried to organize it such that you can skim quickly and read what you value and skip what you do not. Let me say that I know some of this will upset people. I am going to try really hard to be “matter of fact” about these and not input my own bias/opinion onto you. I definitely feel like some of these are good and some are not, but I trust that you can decide such things for yourself. That being said, let’s get into it.

This addresses a backlog in processing security clearances for Executive Office of the President personnel. It grants interim Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances for up to six months to specified individuals so they can access the facilities and technology.
Undoing Biden
INITIAL RESCISSIONS OF HARMFUL EXECUTIVE ORDERS AND ACTIONS
This cancels numerous policies from the Biden administration related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), climate initiatives, immigration, and other areas the current administration deems radical. It directs agencies to halt and rescind DEI-focused measures and propose “common sense” reforms.
This revokes the security clearances of 51 former intelligence officials who allegedly misused their expert credibility to influence public perception during the 2020 election, as well as John R. Bolton for publishing classified information in his memoir.
ENDING THE WEAPONIZATION OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
This alleges that the prior administration used federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies to target perceived political opponents for political reasons. It directs the Attorney General and the Director of National Intelligence to review the past four years of investigations, enforcement actions, and intelligence activities to identify any misconduct.
RESTORING FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ENDING FEDERAL CENSORSHIP
This claims the prior administration unconstitutionally suppressed free speech by pushing social media companies to moderate and deplatform viewpoints it didn’t favor. It forbids any federal agency or official from taking actions that would censor protected speech and directs the Attorney General to investigate past government censorship over the last four years.
This commutes the sentences of specific individuals and grants a full pardon to everyone else convicted in connection with the January 6, 2021, events at the U.S. Capitol.
